Privacy Policy
Effective: March 2026
Who We Are
Negotiate the Future ("NTF," "we," "us," or "our") is a nonpartisan policy initiative focused on the governance of artificial intelligence. NTF is not yet a registered nonprofit. We are in the process of pursuing 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) status. This Privacy Policy governs information collected through our website and contact forms.
Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you submit a contact form, sign up for our newsletter, or express interest in involvement. This includes your email address, U.S. state and ZIP code, and a description of why you are getting involved.
We do not collect payment information, government identification, or sensitive personal data. We do not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising networks, or behavioral analytics platforms.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to send you updates, analysis, and policy publications from Negotiate the Future. By submitting your information, you consent to receiving periodic email communications from NTF.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Transfer Upon Nonprofit Formation
By providing your information to Negotiate the Future, you consent to the transfer of your contact information — including your email address, state, ZIP code, and stated reason for involvement — to the formally registered nonprofit entity when and if NTF completes its 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) registration.
This transfer is part of organizational continuity. The successor entity will be bound by the same commitment to nonpartisan AI governance policy, and will not use your information for purposes inconsistent with those described in this policy. You will have the opportunity to opt out of communications from the successor entity at any time.
Email Communications and Opt-Out
Every email communication we send will include an unsubscribe link. You may opt out at any time. Requests to be removed from our list will be honored within a reasonable timeframe.
You may also contact us directly at the email listed on our contact page to request removal or modification of your information.
Data Security
We store contact data in Google Firestore, a cloud-hosted database with access controls restricted to authorized NTF personnel. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
